Info and FAQ'S
Where are you based and where do you travel to?
I am located in Farnborough, Hampshire, and I would be delighted to welcome you to my makeup studio for your trial, or I can come to your home your convenience. On your wedding day, I will travel to your home or chosen venue, covering Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire Travel is complimentary for a 20-mile round trip, and for distances over 30 miles, there is charge of 65p per mile. For any journey exceeding two hours on the morning of a wedding, an overnight stay will be required at an additional cost. For weddings, please contact me for a quote.
Do I need a trial?
I always recommend having a hair and makeup trial. This allows us to determine if desired style is suitable for your hair type and to refine your bridal look. It's crucial to experiment with different styles to ensure you feel comfortable with your choice. Trials also help us build a rapport, making your wedding morning more relaxed. Once you've settled on your final look, I'll document all the products used, take photos, and make notes to easily replicate your custom wedding hair and makeup. While I can achieve your desired look on your wedding day without a trial, please note that it would incur an additional cost due to the extra time required.
When should I book my trial and how long does it take?
Some brides prefer to schedule their trial early to check it off their to-do list. If you don't plan on changing your hairstyle or need to grow it out for a specific look, feel free to have your trial whenever you'd like. Typically, trials are held about 2-4 months in advance, once other wedding details are arranged. I strive to accommodate your schedule, but my weekends are often booked with weddings, so I usually schedule trials from Monday to Thursday. I also recommend having the trial during daylight hours for a clearer view of your hair and makeup. Trials generally last 2-4 hours, but we won't finish until you're completely satisfied! It’s helpful to gather some hair and makeup images for inspiration beforehand, and sharing a wedding mood board gives me a better sense of your theme and style for the big day!
What do I need to do to prepare for the trial?
After you've confirmed your booking with me, I will send you a list tips to help you maximize your bridal trial experience. You can review these tips at your convenience and share any additional insights you think might be useful for me.
Why should I book you as my hair and makeup artist?
With over 20 years of experience as a Hair and Makeup Artist, I recognize the significance of looking and feeling your best on your wedding day. Your makeup should enhance your natural beauty rather than cover it up, ensuring you look stunning both on camera and in person. Your hairstyle should align your wedding theme and suit your hair type, guaranteeing it stays flawless throughout the day and ready for dancing! I also enjoy teaching your Maid of Honour how to remove your veil and make any necessary hair adjustments, ensuring you look perfect for the evening. Every bride has her unique style, and with my expertise, you're in great hands. As a cruelty-free artist, I only use products that are not tested on animals. I pride myself on being a calm and friendly professional, and my promise to you is a joyful, relaxing wedding morning, leaving you looking fabulous and ready for your big day!
How much do you charge for wedding Hair and Makeup?
Here are my 2025 pricing details. Your quote is calculated during the trial and should be paid one week before your wedding day. Additional costs include travel expenses (65p per mile), an early arrival fee (£30 for arrivals before 7am), a split location fee (£50), and accommodation costs if needed. I also provide a 10% discount for groups A £50 deposit is required to secure your date.
What is in your hair and makeup kit?
My kit is cruelty-free, and I can assure you that this does not compromise quality! It's fantastic to see so many reputable brands transitioning to the cruelty-free market. I use a range of trusted makeup brands to create a flawless look while ensuring your skin can still breathe! I always keep my kit current and meticulously clean and sterilized after each client.
When do I pay the final balance?
At your trial, we will determine the final price. The deposit made to secure your date will be subtracted from the remaining balance, which is due one week to your wedding. Payments can be made via bank transfer, card (with an additional fee), or cash. (Please see Terms and Conditions for details.)
Do you use false lashes?
I can provide and apply lashes for you the day, or I can suggest places to get your lashes lifted and tinted (IG - @the.ahetics.clinic) or for lash extensions (IG - @sophsbeautylodge). For your wedding day, I recommend a natural set of lashes to perfectly complement your makeup look. It's a good idea to try them out before the big day to see if you love them.
Are you insured?
I have business insurance with Salon Gold, and I am fully covered.
